The wires can come straight out the back or out the side in that slot shown on the back of th light.

Each light comes with three 8-Foot lead wire for easy hookup. Each light contains 4-Yellow/Amber leds when lit that are equal to 12 leds on high mode. Each RED FLAME Light draws only .01 amps low mode and .051A high mode. Amber Simple THREE wire hookup:   Black wire = Ground, White wire = Low mode and Red wire = High mode. Water Tight LED Lights. Extra strength 3m molding type sticker is used to keep light stuck in place and will not come off when mounted. No need to drill any holes for mounting to a surface.
